Resources for Lenders Resources for Small Business Owners Social Security Update The Social Security Administration has announced that benefits will be paid on time. Andrew Saul, the commissioner of the SSA, said "Social Security will pay monthly benefits on time and these payments will not be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. I want our beneficiaries to be aware that scammers may try to trick you into thinking the pandemic is stopping or somehow changing your Social Security payments, but that is not true. Don’t be fooled.” Vaccine Trial to Start in the Fall The Department of Health and Human Services has announced a new vaccine trial will begin in the fall with the goal of making a Coronavirus vaccine available in early 2021. REAL ID Deadline Pushed Back The Department of Homeland Security has pushed back the deadline for travelers to need a compliant REAL ID driver's license for airline travel. You can check it out here. Agriculture Update Farm Service Agency offices are open by phone-appointment only until further notice. The FSA is also relaxing the loan-making process and extending the deadline to complete loan applications. Details are available here. Also, the State Department is committed to processing H2-A visas for farm labor in order to support American agriculture.
